We see only what we want to see. Cherishing fragments, denying what is, for what may be. Unconsciuosly denying freedom in the face of blatant ignorance.
And so, what does that make us? Puppets of conformity? Or just dreamers? Gazing into space while everything floats and crumbles to dust around us?
Shadows and fog. We are made of both light and darkness... yet somehow, we cannot even choose between these two. We live in a world of limbo; a void of uncertainity. Flitting between one thought and the next. One strand of ideas, then another. Willfully conceiving chimeras and undefinable colours which do not exist. Have never existed.
Darkness and light are just perceptions... subjectivity is the whole truth... freedom does not really exist... what is left, in the end, are dreams. Just dreams. Improbable, yet vital... and beautiful in their unreachability...

There comes a time in your life when you have to stop letting others influence you, stop answering the call of friendly advice, stop being unsure; and start trusting your own judgement. That is called growing up.
People see life in different ways, through different coloured lenses - obviously, those who care for you want the best for you - however THEY see it. This is a beautiful thing, but it does not mean that they can ACTUALLY decide for you or impose their will on your heart. That is; not if you don't let them.
Ultimately, life is a sequence of choices. Advice is there to be cosidered in the light of certain aspects, but in the end, it is only WE as individuals who can truly know what is best for ourselves.
Ourselves, and no one else.
I cannot say that my judgement is perfect in everything - far from it. But I am happy to say, that even though there are few people whom I really and truly trust; I do so totally and honestly - beleiving in the power of the goodness of the human heart.
